Threads' Young Dancers Project (YDP) Summer Dance Camps, ages 10-12+

Threads' Young Dancers Project Summer Dance Camp,  Ages 10-12+ offers a dance experience to youth ages 10-12+ that is anchored on age-appropriate technique while encouraging connection and creative exploration in a supportive and inclusive environment. YDP camps offer an added hour for those with 2+years of dance experience.

Program Highlights: 

Young Dancers Project meets daily as a week-long camp for one or two weeks from 12:30-3:30 pm. Dancers will learn:

• Ballet & Modern Foundations: Strong technical grounding with age-appropriate challenge

• Wellness & Nutrition: Learning how to care for and fuel their growing bodies

• Creative Expression: Encouraging confidence, artistry, and self-expression through movement

• Midday Fuel: Optional light meal provided at noon for dancers who arrive 30 minutes early
   

What is YDP PLUS? 

This is an additional hour of conditioning and training for dancers with 2+ years of prior dance experience 

• Strength-building conditioning to support technique and injury prevention

• Advanced pirouettes, leaps, and floor work for dancers ready to be challenged

• Rehearsal of a more demanding choreographic work, shared at the end of Week Two

• Two-week immersive experience only to support deeper growth and performance readiness

• An optional light lunch is provided at Noon with an additional snack to fuel increased physical activity
